Z-PAC
: Revolutionary Ageless Universal Sealant for Pumps
Z-PAC is a non
asbestos, universal pump packing, which has unlimited shelf-life. It
has a malleable (Putty Like) consistency and is made from a
carefully controlled blend of high tech synthetic fibers and
specially formulated lubricants and greases.

Where
is Z-PAC Used :
Z-PAC is used in
all types of rotary pumps irrespective of chemicals it handle.
Depending upon equipment and the type of Z-PAC selected, it can
withstand applications up to 3650 rpm, 425° C pH 0-14, pressures up
to 14 Kg/Cm2 to 32 Kg/Cm2 on pumps. In
this pressure range, there is a 25% safety factor.

Chemical
Compatibility:
Compatibility may
be ascertained matching the pH of media to the pH capability of the
Z-PAC as mentioned. We always recommend a 24 hour 'SOAK TEST' for
critical applications.

Installation
Procedure
-
Remove old
packing and latern ring (Latern Ring not needed)
-
Inspect and
clean shaft and gland.

Shut off seal
water and any lubrication inlet.

Install bottom
packing ring.
-
Pack tightly
with Z-PAC.
-
Tighten gland
bolts as tight as possible to pressurize and cause seepage of
Z-PAC lubricant. DO NOT remove seepage.

Remove gland
follower and install top packing ring. Replace gland and tighten
bolts until just finger tight.

Run pump for
15-20 minutes. Tighten gland bolts to achieve minimal or Zero
leakage. Z-PAC will only require occasional topping up.
